The Log will put out a nice round bassy kick drum without the need for a drum machine. In fact you'll find that audiences are fascinated by the idea that you can plug a piece of timber into an amplifier to produce the rhythm. How cool is that? All you've got to do is tap your foot on The Log in time with the music you're playing.

Depending on the type of shoes you're wearing you will find that the sound of The Logarhythm will change. Hard leather soles will produce a more "toppy" sound than say trainers or thick rubber soles. Tapping your foot at different points along the width of The Logarhythm will also produce a tonal variation. It's pretty versatile.

The Logarhythm is made from a high-quality African hardwood called Sapele. All Logs are given a generous double coating of Linseed oil before they leave our workshops.

The base of the unit features a non-slip black gauze pad in order to stop it skating around the stage… but for even better adhesion and to get some extra-funky grooves, we suggest that you take a look at the Heel’n’Toe (pictured above) with The Log and The Wedge.

So there you go . . . put one end of a guitar lead into the Log Out socket and the other into your amp or PA.
Bring the volume up slowly to avoid excessive levels, increase the bass and turn down the treble and mid tones on the amp and you're away.

What could be easier?
Price:£ 49.99

Singers can run their studio microphone into the XLR input and take advantage of the warm and rich suite of mic preamp and compressor models provided by POD X3. Adding a touch of top-quality vintage spring or digital reverb will put that professional touch on all your best songs. Perform live using POD X3 Dual Tone processing to turn your POD X3 into both a vocal processor/preamp (via XLR input) and a guitar amp modeler/effector (via 1/4-inch input), and simply send a single stereo pair to the house as you sing and play your sensitive heart out! The EBow was introduced in 1976. The first model was chrome plated plastic and turned on and off automatically. The second model was black with a red logo. It had increased drive and an on/off switch. The third model was black with a white logo. It had an improved sensitivity for faster string activation. This fourth model is called the PlusEBow. It features the new harmonic mode and a cool blue LED. To get the slower activation and mellow sound of the original EBow, tilt the later models away from the strings.

In the early days, it was used by TomPetty, Big Country, Duran Duran, Blondie, Bauhaus, David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult and Bill Nelson. More recently Van Halen, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and the Psychedelic Furs. Zakk's signature MXR Wylde Overdrive pedal which was launched early last year looked great with Zakk's unmistakeable 'bullseye' design. One other pedal which is never out of Zakk's guitar effects pedalboard is a Crybaby wah wah. So once again, Zakk has joined forces with the Jim Dunlop concern to deliver the toughest, meanest Crybaby wah pedal on the planet - the Zakk Wylde Signature Wah! Built from the ground up with great tone and rugged durability in mind, the Wylde Wah pedal can stand up to the crushing stomp of metal's reigning king of lead guitar. Like Zakk, the Wylde Wah is instantly recognisable and features a heavy duty, burnished raw metal casing and contains only totally roadworthy components designed to withstand years of ass-kicking abuse! The guts of Zakk's wah have been finely tuned to the man's exacting specifications, specially voiced to deliver an extra thick and cutting tone. The single-Q pedal sweeps a truly tone-mungous100K Ohm Hotz Potz potentiometer, with the Effect On/Bypass toggle switch located at the bottom of the pedal's travel, in true Crybaby fashion. Best of all, like Zakk's MXR Wylde Overdrive, the Wylde Wah won't have you digging too deep in the old pockets for a major slice of wild Zakk wah tone.
Price:£ 132.79

Instead, they've re-defined what an auto-wah can do to funkify your sound. The MXR Auto Q from Jim Dunlop triggers at any playing level, not just on your loudest notes. The Auto Q's effects are amplitude independent, so you get exactly the same effects at high volume or low. Come out front with your solo then drop back for a rhythm fill - your tone mods stay constant throughout. It's all under your control too. The RANGE knob selects how low the automatic wah will reach. The Q control, already famous on the Crybaby Wah pedal series, controls the effect's intensity by providing a sharp frequency peak or a broader, more subtle peak. VOLUME goes to 11, natch, or anyplace below. The BAND switch selects the frequency ceiling where the effect will dominate, LO, MID or HI. MXR has also added a whole new flavour to the Auto Q with the RATE control. RATE dials in variable shimmer that operates independently of the automatic wah section. And the BLEND rotary selects which effect has more prominence - automatic wah (turn left) or variable shimmer (turn right). Straight up and you've got equal doses of both! Finally, there's DECAY - in automatic wah, it simply controls effect dropoff. But when BLEND is set for some shimmer, DECAY controls the transition from one effect to the other. Start your note with automatic wah, and finish it off with a shimmering flourish. You can't get these noises anywhere else!
Price:£ 171.99
